This is one of my favourite images I have ever made. I love pictures that don’t necessarily have people in them but do have the obvious suggestion of people. For me this picture evokes layers of memory, my time in college and the sound of the blanket of heat and humidity that covers St. Louis in the summer, but also the 18 year old me at my senior prom (yes that is my “official” prom picture), and a boy I used to really fancy. Pictures are powerful.
